Broken Arrow, OK and the Tulsa metro

Mobile Windshield Replacement

The whole job at your house or your work, including the camera recalibration. You keep your day, and the only thing we need is a level spot out of the rain.

$250 to $1,500 Typical range for this work in the Tulsa metro. The vehicle decides it, so call and we will price yours in about two minutes.

The whole job happens at your address. That is not a convenience add-on, it is how we prefer to work, and for most of the Tulsa metro it is faster than the alternative.

Why mobile is the default here

The Broken Arrow and Tulsa metro is spread out. Getting a windshield done at a shop means driving in, giving up the car for a couple of hours, and arranging somebody to collect you. For a job that takes ninety minutes of actual work, that is most of a day for you.

We come to the house, or to the workplace parking lot while you are inside. From the outer towns, Coweta, Bixby and Catoosa, that difference is the whole reason to call.

What we need at the address

Less than people expect.

A level place to park with enough room to open both front doors and work along the sides of the glass.

Shelter if the weather is against us. A garage, carport, shop or covered space. This is the only genuine constraint and it is not negotiable, because urethane adhesive will not cure properly in the wet. If it is raining and there is nowhere covered, we reschedule rather than do a job that will leak or fail.

Nothing else. No power, no water, no help.

If you are having it done at work, tell us where you park and whether the lot allows it. Most employers do not mind. A few do, and it is better to find out on the phone.

The part that cannot be rushed

A windshield is structural. It carries part of the roof load if the car rolls, and it is the backstop the passenger airbag inflates against. The airbag deploys into it at speed and the glass has to stay put.

All of that is the adhesive, not the pane.

So the one number that matters at the end of a mobile job is the safe drive-away time for that urethane, at that temperature, at that humidity, on that day. It is a real published figure from the adhesive manufacturer, not a rule of thumb.

We will tell you the specific number before we leave. If someone fits your glass and shrugs at that question, that is the moment to worry, not the price.

Recalibration on a driveway

Most people assume the camera work has to happen somewhere else. Usually it does not.

Dynamic calibration is a road drive at a specified speed on clearly marked road while the system relearns from real lane lines. That is straightforward here. The Creek Turnpike and Highway 51 between Broken Arrow and Coweta are both good stretches for it, with clear markings and steady speed.

Static calibration needs a printed target board set at a measured distance, height and centreline in front of a level vehicle. Some driveways and shop floors take that easily. Some do not, because of slope or space.

We check which one your vehicle requires when you book, not when we arrive. If yours needs static and your driveway cannot take it, we tell you then and arrange somewhere that can.

What it costs, and what it does not

Mobile service is not a surcharge. The price is the price of the job, and inside our service area there is no travel charge.

The range is the same as any windshield replacement, roughly $250 to $1,500, and what moves it is the vehicle rather than the location. Whether there is a camera. Whether the glass carries a rain sensor, heated wiper park, acoustic interlayer or heads-up display. Whether the pinchweld under the old glass has been cut into and rusted by a previous installer.

The one thing that genuinely can add cost is a vehicle we have to move indoors for a static calibration. We will say so before we come, not after.

When mobile is the wrong answer

We would rather turn a job down than do it badly in a driveway.

Heavy rain with nowhere covered. The adhesive will not cure. We reschedule.

Serious pinchweld corrosion. If the flange under the old glass is rusted through rather than just nicked, that needs proper treatment and time, and a driveway in February is not where it happens.

A handful of makes with unusual calibration procedures. A small number of vehicles have software or procedures a mobile setup should not attempt. If yours is one, we say so when you call rather than after the glass is out.

When the car is going to a body shop anyway. If there is collision damage around the glass opening, the windshield belongs in that repair, not as a separate visit.

Booking it

Call with the year, make, model and trim, or read us the VIN off the corner of the dashboard. Tell us whether there is a camera housing behind the rear-view mirror, and where the car will be sitting.

That is enough to get you a real price, the right glass on the van, and the correct calibration planned before anyone drives out.

What matters for this in Broken Arrow

  • Urethane windshield adhesive has a manufacturer-specified safe drive-away time that depends on the product, the temperature and the humidity on the day, and it does not cure properly in the wet.
  • Dynamic ADAS calibration requires driving the vehicle at a specified speed on clearly marked road, which means it can be completed on a mobile job rather than only in a shop.
  • Some vehicles require static calibration against a printed target board set at a measured distance, height and centreline, on level ground, which is the case where a mobile job has to move indoors or go to a dealer.
  • A windshield is a structural part of the vehicle. It carries part of the roof load in a rollover and acts as the backstop the passenger airbag inflates against, which is why the adhesive bond matters more than the pane.

Common questions

Is a mobile windshield replacement as good as one done in a shop?

Done properly, yes, and the reason is that the critical variables travel with us rather than living in the building. What matters is surface preparation, the right primer on any nicked paint, fresh urethane, correct glass setting and a respected cure time. None of that requires a bay. What does require shelter is weather, because urethane will not cure properly wet, so on a bad day we need a garage or we reschedule.

What do you need from me at the address?

A level place to park the vehicle with room to work around it, ideally out of direct sun and out of the rain. A garage, a carport, a shop or a covered parking space all work. We do not need power or water. If you are at work, tell us roughly where you park and whether the lot allows it, and we will plan around your day rather than yours around ours.

Can you do the camera recalibration at my house too?

Usually yes. If your vehicle takes a dynamic calibration, that is a road drive at a set speed on marked road, and the Creek Turnpike and Highway 51 are both good for it. If it takes a static calibration, that needs a target board on level ground with space in front of the car, which some driveways have and some do not. We check which one your vehicle needs before we come out, so nobody finds out on the day.

How long before I can drive it?

About 90 minutes for the fitting, then the safe drive-away time for the adhesive. That number depends on the specific urethane and on the temperature and humidity that day, so we tell you the actual figure rather than a general rule. It is the one part of this job that cannot be shortened, because it is what holds the glass in during a collision.
