What we do

Prices are typical ranges for this market. The vehicle decides it, so we quote yours rather than sending you a menu. Repairs start around $75.

Before you call anyone

Which damage repairs, and which has to be replaced

Two things decide it: where the damage sits, and whether your car has a camera behind the mirror. This is the map we use, and it is the same one we will talk you through on the phone.

  • Outside the wiper sweep, under about six inches. Usually a resin repair, about half an hour, factory glass stays in.
  • Inside the driver's critical area. Replacement, because even a good repair leaves a faint distortion in the one place you do not want one.
  • Camera behind the mirror. Recalibration is part of the job, not a separate appointment somewhere else.

The shaded zone is the driver's critical area, the part the wiper sweeps. Damage there generally means replacement. A chip outside it usually repairs in about half an hour.

The question everyone asks first

Does insurance cover it in Oklahoma?

Comprehensive coverage pays, minus your deductible. Oklahoma is not a free-windshield state, whatever you may have read.

Several auto glass sites serving this metro claim state law bans glass deductibles here and cite statute 36 O.S. 3636 for it. That statute is Oklahoma's uninsured motorist coverage law. It does not mention glass, windshields or deductibles anywhere.

Some carriers do sell a full-glass endorsement that waives the deductible. If you bought one, your windshield may genuinely cost you nothing. If you did not, and your deductible is $500 against a $420 windshield, there is no point filing at all. We will tell you that before you call your insurer rather than after.
